Getting Dates
The girl you’ve been dating has now become your girlfriend. You probably put your best foot forward, wore your nicest clothes and worked hard to impress her and win her heart. Now that she’s your girl, do you go back to being the slob that you are? Good behavior doesn’t stop when your relationship starts.
If you find yourself in a party with her girlfriends, show that you’re a couple by sitting beside her. Never leave her side if you can help it. When another girl flirts with you, tell her you’re committed. Your girlfriend fall in love with you more because she’s secure you won’t look the other way. You’ll always want to make her feel she chose the right guy when you became her boyfriend.
If you can help it, stay beside her the whole time when you’re in a party, specially if it’s a roomful of women. Don’t wait for her to remind you to stay with her. You’re committed to a relationship now and aren’t single anymore, so don’t act like one. Stand your ground and say no when another girl gives you the moves. She will love you for showing her how loyal you are.
Keep on being that nice guy she fell in love with. There’s no reason to go back to your old habits when you were single. Continue to treat her with respect, the way you want to be treated. Even if you’re not with her, show your male buddies that your partner in high regard. No trash talking, and no name-calling either.
Don’t stop complimenting her, and giving her gifts if you’re feeling generous. Women will always love receiving flowers, regardless of the occasion. You would still want to keep that thrill in your relationship, so compliment her when she makes an effort to look beautiful for you.
When you have something private to discuss with her, find the right time and place. The saying that ‘don’t wash your dirty linen in public’ holds true. You wouldn’t want your friends or co-workers to hear private issues with your girlfriend. So keep sensitive matters between the two of you.
Continue with your gentlemanly ways. Hold the door for her when you’re ahead, and carry her bag if she’s got one. She’ll be proud that she chose the right guy as a partner, and maybe a potential husband too. You’ll be her hero for life.
